Read about the changes at Current Projects - DISCOVER “Personalized Education".  In the future, the DISCOVER Assessment will collect a far greater amount of data than is currently gathered.  This information - including video, pictures, sounds, scanned images of “child products”, and checklist items - will be completely digital in form, and will be used to make Strength Profiles for each child, providing detailed analyses of the Assessment results.  Each assessment team will collect or enter the data during the Assessment, using portable computers linked with various pieces of digital equipment (e.g. digital sound recorders, web cams, etc.).  After proper formatting, this information will be transferred, via the Internet, directly into the DISCOVER main database, where an automated process will convert it into Strength Profiles.  The Profiles, likewise, will be accessed through the Internet.  Each site conducting the Assessment will receive special DISCOVER software that will help organize data into proper transfer protocol.  Similar transfer options will be available for sites participating in ongoing DISCOVER research projects.
