Parent/Community-Based Assessment

Option 2:  Standard Individual Assessment (Ages 5 to 18)

The Individual Assessment is similar to the Group Assessment except that the Observer is able to focus all his or her attention on the child being assessed, rather than dividing it between five children at a time.  Similar activities are used to measure Spatial, Linguistic, Logical-Mathematical, Interpersonal, and Intrapersonal ability, but in more detail.  As with the group Assessment a Strength Profile is generated to explain the Assessment results.  However, in the individual Assessment, the Strength Profile is accompanied by an hour of personalized consultation with the DISCOVER Observer, applying the information directly to the child’s circumstances and giving the parents and child a chance to ask questions, as well as further explore ways of applying the observed strengths.

Individual Assessments can be scheduled in Tucson or at your convenience, in your home.
